SMS and MMS
Two-way messaging at $0.0075 per SMS in either direction, with the registration work that decides whether it gets delivered handled during onboarding.
Sending a message is one API call. Getting it delivered is registration work.
The path from signup to a message that lands.
Registration is the part most platforms underestimate. We run it with you before launch, because the cost of getting it wrong is silent filtering rather than an error you can see.
- BrandYour legal entity registered once, with the details carriers verify.
- CampaignEach use case registered on its own, with sample messages.
- VettingUse-case review against the traffic you actually intend to send.
- ThroughputAn assigned send rate you know before launch, not after.
- NumbersLong-code or toll-free DIDs attached to the approved campaign.
- LiveTwo-way traffic with delivery receipts and consent state from the first message.
Consent is a property of the number.
An opt-out that only exists in your application is an opt-out you will eventually violate. We keep it at the network level and let you read it.
- STOP and its common variants suppress further traffic to that recipient on that number.
- HELP returns the response you configured, in the shape carriers expect.
- Consent state is readable and writable over the API, so your CRM and the network agree.
- Opt-out events are recorded on the message history like any other event.
- Suppression is enforced per sending number, which is what a multi-tenant platform needs.
What we do before your first campaign sends.
Messaging is the product where the paperwork decides the delivery rate, so onboarding is where the work happens.
Handled during onboarding
- 10DLC brand registration for your legal entity.
- Campaign registration per use case, with sample messages and opt-in language.
- Use-case vetting, and the throughput tier that comes out of it.

- Number assignment onto the approved campaign, long-code or toll-free.
Yours over the API
- Send and receive SMS and MMS on any messaging-enabled DID.
- Delivery receipts per message, with queued, delivered, and rejected kept distinct.

FAQs
Questions about SMS and MMS
What does messaging cost?
Long-code SMS is $0.0075 to send and $0.0075 to receive. Toll-free SMS is the same $0.0075 each way. Long-code MMS is $0.02 each way. There is no separate platform fee for messaging and no seat license; you pay per message, on the same invoice as your voice traffic.
Do I have to register for 10DLC, and who does the work?
Application-to-person traffic on long-code numbers has to be registered, and we do that work with you during onboarding: brand registration, campaign registration, use-case vetting, and the throughput tier that comes out of it. You supply the business details and a sample message flow; we prepare and submit the rest and tell you what the assigned throughput means for your send rate.
How does toll-free verification work?
Toll-free messaging is verified separately from 10DLC. We prepare and submit the verification packet, which covers the business, the use case, the opt-in language, and where that opt-in is collected. Unverified toll-free traffic tends to be filtered quietly rather than rejected loudly, which is exactly the failure you do not want to find out about from a conversion report.
How are STOP and HELP handled?
Consent state is tracked per number, not per campaign. STOP and its variants suppress further traffic to that recipient on that number, HELP returns your configured response, and the current state is readable and writable over the API so your own application can honor it too. Opt-out events land in the message record like any other event.
Can I tell whether a message was actually delivered?
Yes. Delivery receipts come back per message, so a queued message, a delivered message, and a rejected one are three different states in your data instead of one optimistic send count. Records export alongside your CDRs, which matters when you are reselling messaging and have to bill and defend it.
Can the same number carry voice and messaging?
Yes. A local DID can carry calls and messages at once, so a number you already route calls on can be enabled for SMS without changing your routing. Numbers start from $1.10 a month; see phone numbers for DID types and porting.
